While the Special HD28 delivers the historical look and basic sound of vintage Martins, its forward-shifted X bracing produces a voicing with enhanced bass response, and the modified low-oval neck profile and high-performance taper offer outstanding playability. Other appointments include antique-white binding, a polished cocobolo head plate with gold CFM logo, East Indian rosewood side strips, diamonds and squares fingerboard inlays and nickel, vintage-styled Grover machine heads.
